Class Dojo

ClassDojo is an educational technology communication app and website. It connects primary school teachers, students and families through communication features, such as a feed for photos and videos from the school day. If you haven't created an account for ClassDojo please do so, this is the main form of communication in the R-6 World. Created an account, locate the school, find your child/children teachers names, Find your child/children name and request access.

The Why, How & When

This is provided for families to support their child's home learning. (Students at school will use the same home learning resources).
Supported home learning will be structured with the flexibility for families to adapt according to their situation.

Library

School and Community Library

The school library is exploring options to ensure students have reading materials at home during term 2. Students can access and search the school library system at home for relevant resources eg. Lexile or non-fiction books. Please Click on the library.

Mathletics is a comprehensive online mathematics learning tool with hundreds of curriculum-aligned lessons and activities. Students should be familiar with this website and have a Mathletics Login and password in their diaries to access this site. Contact you teacher via class dojo if you are unsure
Studyladder

Studyladder offers a sequential learning program that includes videos, interactive activities, worksheets and assessments. All part of a complete learning program, catering from kindergarten to year 6. Sign up for free with a “Basic” subscription
ABC Education

ABC Education is a collection of thousands of free, curriculum-linked resources for Primary and Secondary students and teachers. Games, videos, articles and news.
Example: Year 4 Game - Make a Rainforest Walking Track - in this fun primary maths game you mark the route for a walking track on a rainforest map. Choose a section of track based on instructions about distances, compass directions and grid references. Keep adding sections of track to get to the rest house. If you like, you can check the meaning and pronunciation of tricky words as you go.
Scholastic Learn at Home

Day-by-day projects to keep kids reading, thinking, and growing using cross-curricular journeys. Each day includes four separate learning experiences, built around a meaningful story or video. There is a text-to-speech/read aloud option which can read the content to students as necessary. Grade levels include: Pre K/Kindergarten, Year 1-2, Year 3-5, Year 6+
Earth Hour

Download free, curriculum-aligned lessons to teach students about environmental sustainability as well as science-based Earth Hour activities on how to care for the environment.
Behind the News (BTN)

BTN is a long-running news programme broadcast on the ABC made in Adelaide and aimed at school-aged children (8–13 years of age). Using the current language, trendy music and popular culture of youths the programme explains the basic concepts that underpin the issues and events, while also providing background information.
Nomsterchef

A digital library of recipe picture books which can be flipped through like a digital storybook. Includes grocery lists, allergy and substitution information
Romper

Famous authors, illustrators, celebrities, and educators are providing a (virtual) escape with live and/or online readings and storytelling sessions
Mystery Science

Science lessons designed to engage students, achieve learning outcomes, and be easy to use including short mini-lessons that are completely digital and full lessons that include an activity. All of the activities are designed to use simple supplies you likely already have at home.
Prodigy

Prodigy is a free, Pokemon-style math game that has been proven to improve student scores and confidence! It is aligned to the Ontario curriculum for grades 1-6, and features content from each of the five major strands

This site has video clips, documentaries, images, articles, stories and news for each major topic. These are all designed to entertain and inform. The toolbox is divided into Primary and Secondary levels and is brilliant for projects, research and further learning.
