Heath wins fourth Sports Day
It was one of the closest Sports Days since Kadina Memorial School’s inception, with the Heath House winning the Cup for a fourth consecutive year, followed by Chandler, Rose and Southwood.
The two-day event was a culmination of preparation and training by all students and staff during the term.
The R-12ness was evident with older students volunteering at event stations, encouraging their younger peers and assisting with team games.
While there were amazing individual results, the overall House winner came down to team games and the relays, emphasising the importance of participation and teamwork.
This made for an exciting finish with Heath on 2,916 points, Chandler 2,837, Rose 2,643 and Southwood 2,453.
A number of new and team records were also made.
Head of PE and Health Mr Luke Driver said he felt very proud of the professional manner in which the two Sports Days were held.
‘Our ground staff worked tirelessly to provide our beautifully kept ovals and I thank the Canteen staff and volunteers, and all who assisted with events, NYP Little Athletics for the use of equipment, NYP SAPSASA, Kadina Netball Club, ANZ and Harvest Christian College.’
